#PlayMonday (25/01/2016)

Sixth Play Monday!

On our Play Monday this month, we're all putting our best foot forward - literally!

We played with balls!
In the beginning we started by making a circle and we explained the activity to the clients, that weren't very excited about it. It looked like it was only me, Ângela, Raquel and Joana who were playing.
After a while, gradually, and when the balls started to roll to the middle of the circle, between our feet, everything turned more interesting.

So, at first, our Play consisted of using the feet to make the ball spin between everyone, without a sequence, as a warm-up. After that we introduced another ball and it got funnier. The clients were more focused in not losing the opportunity of touching with their feet in the balls, and that wasn't even a problem for those who have little mobility, since we found a way that every feet could play with our help.
What captivated them the most was seeing two balls constantly colliding in an unexpected way. And in this part, we finally started to hear them laughing.

Then we played with our hands. One of the balls had to run across all the clients by using the hands, while the other ball had to run across all the clients by using their feet. It was a messy and fun way to play while all clients were focused on the two balls.
The next Play was throwing the ball to the person that was in the middle of the circle, that it could be Raquel or Joana. Me and Ângela we're motivating and helping the players in their launches. And they did it very well! Mr. J.C. said that the funniest part was when he hit Raquel's head!
In this Play Monday two new clients joined our Play. In the end of the Play Ângela asked if they liked and both liked it a lot.
Ms. J.R said that she was certain that she would hit the ball, since she only has one leg she wouldn't get confused. The ended the sentence with a smile (This lady had her inferior limb amputated a year ago). Mr. A.G. in the start was really shy because he had been introduced to the group on that day, but in the end he revealed that he had a good right foot for kicking the ball.

We ended with a big applause from everyone to everyone!

Thank you to all Players.
